2026 General Local Elections

The next general local election will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Elections for one (1) Mayor and four (4) Councillors to represent the District of Metchosin occur every four (4) years. The District also assists in the administration of the election for four (4) School Trustees representing School District No. 62 (Sooke School District). Advance Voting Opportunities

Advance voting opportunities will be conducted on October 7 and 14 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the District of Metchosin Council Chambers located at 4450 Happy Valley Road. 

General Voting Day 

General voting will be conducted on Saturday, October 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Metchosin School Gymnasium located at 4495 Happy Valley Road.
