General local elections in B.C. are are held every four years on the third Satruday in October.

The next general local election will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

The District of Metchosin Council appointed a Chief Election Officer on March 2, 2026. There will be multiple voting opportunities for the 2026 General Local Election as follows:

Advance Voting 1 - October 7, 2026 - Metchosin Municipal Hall, 4450 Happy Valley Road, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

Advance Voting 2 - October 14, 2026 - Metchosin Municipal Hall, 4450 Happy Valley Road, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

General Voting Day - October 17, 2026 - Metchosin School Gymnasium, 4495 Happy Valley Road, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
