Parks Donation Program

Friends and family members can now be remembered in Metchosin with a memorial bench or picnic table at a municipal park, viewpoint or trail. Donor suggested sites will be considered for approval by Council.

Locations throughout Metchosin are available. Possibilities for bench sites include Blinkhorn Nature Park, Weir's Beach and the Deer Trail lookout. Picnic tables may be placed in Blinkhorn Nature Park. If you have a suggestion for a location, please contact us.

Donation quotes will be provided for materials and installation for each application. Quoted donation amounts received plus taxes will provide a bench built of western red cedar milled on Vancouver Island. The benches are bolted to a cement slab. The donation includes a cast bronze plaque, installation, maintenance over a 10 year period. Donors are eligible to receive a receipt for income tax purposes.
