Metchosin Council is seeking volunteers to serve on the Buffer Land Working Group, a project-specific advisory body to Council regarding the future of a 113.5-acre parcel (PID 030-095-875) owned by the District.
Working Group members will identify and evaluate options for the management of the Buffer Land, considering factors such as environmental protection, neighbour impacts, financial impacts, practicality and legal matters. Broader community input must also be considered.
The Working Group will aim to provide its recommendations to Council within six months of forming. A meeting schedule will be determined by members. More information can be found in its Terms of Reference below.
