Metchosin Halloween
Municipal Grounds at 4450 Happy Valley Road
October 31, 6 pm to 9 pm
The Metchosin Volunteer Firefighter's Society and the District of Metchosin will be hosting our annual Halloween party at the firehall on Halloween night. Doors open at 6pm, costume judging at 7pm and fireworks to begin immediately after sunset.
This year we are stepping it up a bit on the scare factor and have put together a ‘haunting hall’ for the brave of heart to enter. Not to worry, for the wee little ones we have our traditional Halloween costume contest, preschool corner, free hot dogs & juice, a huge bonfire and of course fireworks!
At last years event we had well over 600 people on the grounds enjoying the entertainment, games and community spirit. We served in excess of 500 hot dogs and 40 gallons of juice. Glow-sticks & candy are always popular items with the kids, and our firefighters enjoyed the extra attention Metchosin can also boast the largest Halloween bonfire in the Western Communities, if not all of Victoria! We hope you, your family and friends can come and join us – helping to keep our kids safe and out of trouble and make this a family event we can all enjoy together.
