Metchosin Day will not be held in 2022

The Metchosin Day Committee after careful consideration, have decided that Metchosin Day cannot be held in 2022.

The primary concern to cancelling this year’s Metchosin Day is the loss of parking at the former Knights of Columbus field and the safety risks of having vehicles lining Metchosin roads due to lack of parking. Alternate options to parking were explored however none proved successful for this year’s event.

The Metchosin Day Committee is proposing to embark on a community exercise over the summer and fall to re-imagine Metchosin Day.
